Johnny Thompson performs on The Magic Palace. This performance features a signature routine often used to close Johnny's close-up performances. It includes a poem in 52 Stanzas on the subject of card table artifice accompanied by a demonstration of the associated sleight of hand. 

"The Gambler's Ballad" was composed specifically for Johnny in 1971 by Milan Bulovic.

Johnny Thompson was the recipient of the inaugural Allan Slaight Award for "Lifetime Achievement" in 2015.
