The Magic Collection of Richard Bloch
On April 4th, Potter & Potter will offer the magic collection of Richard Bloch for sale at public auction. Among the items featured will be a first edition of Erdnase's famous book,The Expert at the Card Table, fine watches and clocks with a magic effect or theme built in to them, a customized version of Kerry Pollock's Enchanted Bottle, uncommon magic trade catalogs, an uncommon Houdini press book, and apparatus made by Collectors' Workshop and other well-known crafters of props and illusions.
In addition, a selection of choice ephemera and posters, including examples advertising Chung Ling Soo, Kellar, and others, will be offered in the auction.
The sale takes place at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 4th 2015 in Chicago at Potter & Potter Auctions. Previews take place in the gallery in the days preceding the auction, from 10am - 5pm, CST.
