Magicana is pleased to announce that we are accepting nominations for the Allan Slaight Awards.
The Allan Slaight Awards, distributed by Magicana on behalf of the Slaight Family Foundation, are designed to recognize outstanding achievement in the pursuit of the impossible. $50,000 in prizes will be awarded each year across five categories.
Past recipients of the awards include Penn & Teller, Mike Caveney, Henry Vargas, Mahdi Gilbert and Johnny Thompson.
Nominations are now being accepted for work completed in 2015 (Sharing Wonder & Sharing Secrets) and for recognizing outstanding individuals (Lifetime Achievement, Rising Star – Canada, Rising Star – International). Anyone can make a nomination on our site (www.magicana.com/slaight/nominate). Limit of one nomination per person per category.
The deadline to submit a nomination is March 31, 2016 so we encourage everyone to think of a worthy recipient and consider making a nomination today.
