On January 10 and 11 Haversat & Ewing Galleries will begin the first of a series of online auctions featuring the contents of Gary Darwin’s Magic Museum in Las Vegas.
Darwin died February 9, 2019, at the age of 84, and since that time the contents of his museum have sat untouched. This lifetime collection filled his house and reflects a lifelong interest in all things conjuring, with a particular focus on the Las Vegas magic scene. Darwin specialized in collecting unique items directly associated with famous magicians and devoted himself to getting each item autographed.
This first auction has 114 lots including hundreds of autographed photos from performers like Slydini, Vernon, Grippo, Hardeen, Houdini, Blackstone, Siegfried and Roy, Copperfield, Dante, Okito, Cardini, Mulholland, and many others. Also offered will be letters, equipment, a collection of one-of-a-kind miniature illusions, and an entirely unique selection of palm prints of famous magicians captured in plaster.
The online catalog is now open. Good luck to all bidders.
